Howard's Wood Craft
Howard Christensen appreciates the craftsmanship of the Earliest Americans because he, himself, is a very fine craftsman.

During his family-rearing years, Howard was known throughout Kendall County, Illinois area as among the finest of wood workers. He contributed his skills to many homes and businesses throughout the area, specializing in projects that were often thought to be "impossible."

After retiring, Howard continued with woodcraft. In addition to continually working on The Old Barn Museum, he builds all of the frames and displays that so effectively demonstrate his collection of artifacts.

Additionally, Howard loves lathe-work. The slideshow, below, demonstrates some of his award-winning constructions. He painstakingly glues woods from all over the world into blocks that, when turned on his lathe, emerge as beautiful pictorial jars and vases.
